I accompanied my father on two trips to Japan while he was working as a consultant for Yamaha. The second time I was there with him for an entire month. He had arranged for us to have interments to practice at our hotel. I can't imaging how the other guests felt about this! My father got a French horn and I got a clarinet. It was probably the cheapest one they made at the time - plastic, of course. In any case, when my father's contract with Yamaha expired, they sent us the two instruments! I have gotten better since then, I hope.
