Comments:
I needed an 88-note MIDI controller for a Ka-band gig and so I purchased a Fatar keyboard for under $1,000 at my local guitar center. I then took it home and had nothing but problems with it. IT had a wiring error that causes static shocks to the user. Worse, after every shock, the entire memory was erased and I had to begin programming anew. I returned the Fatar and traded up to this Roland A-80. It cost me about $2,400, but I have never had a problem with it - other than its 75 lb weight! The touch is great and it can be programmed to do anything I want. It serves as the base keyboard in my studio.
