My trumpet case was from 1968 and it was falling apart. I had borrowed a case from Elliot but I decided to look for a new case at the NAMM show. I found a reasonable case at the JinBao booth. I noticed they were also selling some interesting horns. I didn't want to spent $1,000 on a bass sax, so I ended up buying a piccolo trumpet. It played a bit hard, but it cost only $125 - and that included a case and an A-crook! I have certainly gotten $125 of use out of it so far.
