My sister, Barbara, played the flute through high school. My father bought her this Artley piccolo to use in the marching band. When Barbara gave up the flute, I ended up with the piccolo. I have used it a great deal as a jazz instrument, even doing some recording with it. Nowadays it mostly sits at home and I carry a very cheap piccolo with me to jazz festivals.
